Olduvai, sandwiched between Ngorongoro and Serengeti in Tanzania, is where some of the most important fossils in the lineage of human beings were found, and so it is one of the most important sites in the history of science. It is also a place where boys of the Masai tribe tend herds of goats, donkeys and cattle.
While Masai can freely come and go from their homelands, in the villages they pledge to live the traditional way. The only aspect of modern life they allow themselves is schools. Like boys everywhere, these boys and their dog probably prefer the outdoor life and animals to the classroom. (Price Schedule G)
